Dr. Robert S. LeeDuring the course of its 36 years, Los Alamitos Cardiovascular, a private medical practice, has established an enduring commitment to providing the region’s healthcare professionals and surrounding patient community with the kind of focused care each one of us expects for our own families. In keeping with that tradition, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Robert S. Lee, who entered the practice on July 2013, will be joining Drs. Stuart Fischer, Steven T. Forman, Timothy O’Neill, Bret A. Witter and Ramandeep K. Brar as a partner, effective July 1, 2015.

Dr. Lee is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography.

Dr. Lee earned his medical degree from Drexel University, College of Medicine, then completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He continued his specialty training at Harbor-UCLA by pursuing fellowships in General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. While at Harbor-UCLA, Dr. Lee was appointed Chief Resident, then Chief Fellow, General Cardiology.

Managing Partner of Los Alamitos Cardiovascular, Steven T. Forman, MD, FACC, FSCAI, RVT, notes, “Dr. Lee’s expertise as a general and interventional cardiologist is as admirable as the affable manner and sense of humor he so generously shares with his colleagues and patients alike. Los Alamitos Cardiovascular & Performance Vein Institute of Los Alamitos are proud sponsors of the 5K Walk at the 2015 Race on the Base (ROTB) event. Along with the 5K Walk, there are a number of other events scheduled for February 28th. An event short-list includes: 5K Walk, 5K/10K Runs, 10K Handcycle/ Wheelchair and various Reverse Triathlons. Fact: ROTB is home to the largest sprint reverse triathlon in the U.S.A! Races are offered for various age groups and athletic levels. Some events, like the 5K Walk, are non-competitive.

This is a great opportunity to get your heartbeat going while you help support area charities. ROTB's official charities include Morale Welfare Creation (MWR), Honoring Our Fallen and Rock for Vets. The U.S.A. Water Polo National Training Center, which is right on The Los Alamitos Joint Forces Base (JFTB), also receives proceeds from ROTB. Race on the Base has partnered with Crowdrise in order to encourage members of our community to unite and fundraise for their favorite charities, as well.

Los Alamitos Cardiovascular is Recognized with Three-Year ACR Gold Seal Accreditation Renewal in Nuclear Medicine

American College of Radiation (ACR) accreditation sealLos Alamitos, CA -Los Alamitos Cardiovascular has been awarded an extension of its three-year term of accreditation in nuclear medicine as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Nuclear medicine is a branch of medical imaging that uses small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose and treat a variety of disease, including many types of cancers, heart disease, and certain other abnormalities within the body.

The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report they can use for continuous practice improvement.

The ACR is a national professional organization serving more than 34,000 diagnostic/interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services..

Dr. Robert S. LeeDuring the course of its thirty-three years, Los Alamitos Cardiovascular has established an enduring commitment to providing the region’s referring physicians and patient community with the kind of focus and care each one of our cardiologists expects for their own family. In keeping with that tradition, we are pleased to introduce Dr. Robert S. Lee as our newest colleague. Dr. Lee’s abiding dedication to the practice of cardiovascular medicine is exemplified by his training, experience and personalized approach to patient care.
